Pakhtunkhwa Human Rights Directorate Takes Notice Of 5 Women Harassment Cases
PESHAWAR: The Pakhtunkhwa Human Rights Directorate has taken notice of five incidents of harassment of women and sought reply from concerned departments within two weeks.
The government-run rights body has sent notices to Station House Officer (SHO) of Azakhel Police Station in Nowshera over torture on eminent Pashto singer Zar Sanga and her family over a loan dispute; District Police Officer (DPO) Nowshera over killing of an elderly woman allegedly by police; SHO of Agha Mirjani Police Station in Peshawar over killing of woman by her husband over property dispute; concerned SHO over the killing of a person allegedly by his stepmother in Iraqabad area of Akora Khattak over property dispute and administration of Lady Reading Hospital over sexual harassment of a woman allegedly by a technician.
The Human Rights Directorate in these notices has termed these incidents grave violation of human rights. The concerned departments have been asked to submit reply within two weeks.
