She said that four years ago she was happily married to Bakht Muhammad. “I use to look after 30 cattle along with work at home,” she said. She said that one day when she returned home after cleansing the place for the cattle, her mother-in-law asked her to make wheat flour dough as it is getting late. “I tell my mother-in-law that I will make flour dough after taking a little rest as I was extremely tired,” she narrated. She alleged that her brothers-in-law Alam Khan and Sher Bahadar tortured her and cut off one side of ear. “They throw me down from a bridge. The neighbors save me from their torture,” she said.
Meanwhile, Women Rights Activist, Tabbasum Adnan said that this year three cases of cutting off women’s body parts were reported from Swat. She said that cases of torture against women are on the rise adding that the surge in such kind of cases is due to government’s inability to truly implement laws.
