Large screens to be installed at government schools in Pakhtunkhwa.
PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has scrapped the container schools project and decided to install large screens in schools with the cost of Rs4.3 billion.
According to media reports, the large screens will also be used for lectures in that schools which have shortage of teaching staff. Earlier, the provincial government had planned to establish container schools with the cost of Rs3 billion to address the issue of shortage of schools in some areas of the province. However, the KP government is now planning to scrap that project and a summary in this regard has been sent to Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak.
Officials of the Education Department said these large screens will be installed in all the schools of KP. They said the screens will be useful in delivering good lectures of one school in other schools. The students will also get opportunity of posing questions and getting answers on large screens.
