RAW operating from Afghanistan to destabilise Pakistan, sabotage CPEC: CJCSC
KARACHI: Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Gen Zubair Mahmood Hayat has said that Indian intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) was operating from Afghanistan and other places to destabilise Pakistan and sabotage the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.
“Pakistan is fully aware of the threats emanating from hostile intelligence agencies especially Raw operating from Afghanistan and other locations to foment unrest in Pakistan, especially in Balochistan,” he said while speaking at the passing out parade of 107th Midshipmen 16th Short Service Commission Course Parade ceremony at the Pakistan Naval Academy outside Karachi. Cadets from Qatar, Bahrain, and Maldives were also part of the parade.
Linking the lasting stability in the region with peace in Afghanistan, Gen Hayat said that stability, security, peace in Afghanistan is fundamental to the security of Pakistan.
In his address, Gen Hayat said Pakistan would continue to make efforts for peace in Afghanistan.
He congratulated the passing-out 100 cadets for successfully completing their training that included 72 Pakistan Navy cadets and 28 cadets from Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Bahrain.
